weighted ranking allows you to assign weights to option metrics to reflect their importance within your project and influence overall decision making unlike rag, which is more qualitative, weighted ranking provides a quantitative assessment of your options both pre built optioneer metrics and custom metrics can be weighted β including program estimates, total route length, cost objectives, major crossings, and electrical energy loss this helps you determine which options are most suitable and which can be discarded accessing weighted ranking open the results library and select at least one result click the analysis mode dropdown and select weighted ranking sorting and ranking use the up/down arrow toggles to sort your data in various ways β for example, sorting by rank to see which option performs best for a specific metric use the weighted ranking boxes to assign weights to your metrics, with the percentage shown below each box indicating its relative importance in optioneer, a lower rank number indicates better performance an option ranked 1 is the best performing, while an option ranked 5 is the worst for example, if option a is ranked 1, option b is ranked 2, and option c is ranked 3, then option a is the best performing option based on the metrics and weights applied viewing weighted rankings in scenarios you can also view your weighted rankings within scenarios, combining two or more routes to compare options and identify non viable ones at a glance see docid\ gdpebdhjsgxbwpwlbeumj for more information
