there are 3 types of structures (wood poles or steel towers) that are shown as icons on the map and are referred to in output metrics standard placed under default conditions angled placed when at angle changes, or in areas of high slope terminal placed at the start and end of overhead line sections each structure type has a different cost assigned to it, which can have a major impact on the cost objective for instance, minimising the number of angled structures is the primary method of optimising angle change
